September 24th - Midday Market Commentary

Grains are mixed at midday:

Dec Corn – 1 ½ cents/bu (5.27 ¾ )

Nov Soybeans + 1 cent/bu (12.85 ¼ )

Dec Chi Wheat + 5 ½ cents/bu (7.23 ¼ )

Cdn $ -0.00050 (78.9995 cents)

WTI Crude Oil +0.82/barrel (74.12)

Extremely quiet day for grain news on Friday.  Market is anticipating very good harvest progress this weekend, but farmer selling has not pressured markets so far today.  Wheat has been the most active grain again today, as importing nations around the world continue to look for milling wheat offers or outright buy wheat.  Wheat is also being supported by thoughts that the USDA might lower hard red spring wheat stocks dramatically in it’s September 30th stocks report next week.
