With 2020 soon to be in the rear-view mirror we look forward to 2021 with a renewed commitment to plan for good things to happen.

The process

Preparation is always an essential activity in the planning process. With uncertainty still lingering on COVID-19 protocols and deciding how to communicate effectively, we still want all customers to have a great experience working with us. We rely on socially distanced meetings with masks outdoors or other unconfined spaces when applicable, phone calls, texting, emailing, and some of us are meeting by Zoom and other virtual meeting rooms.

No matter how we choose to meet, one item that will be front and center is using our planning tools. We can make crop plans by farm, field, crop and products well ahead of the season. Thorough plans let everyone know what is expected when it comes time to deliver on the plan contents.

We utilize our mapping software to geo-reference all of your fields, boundaries, acres, soil test data, any yield information and as-applied maps from custom application services.

(AIS) Advanced Information Services

The planning exercise under our Advanced Information Services (AIS) allows for managing the whole farm enterprise. You may find us asking more questions about your farming acres and field locations if we don’t already have them and will be asking what has changed from last year. Having knowledge of field locations is a fundamental piece of knowing your operation better so we can service you better.

We have been busy with creating a digital ag strategy to assist in data collection and analysis. More and more customers are gathering more data on their fields. We have built and continue to refine tools to facilitate utilizing the data that is generated regardless of brands of equipment used by various customers.

Integration of data is a key feature of our AIS program. From initiating a plan, site-specific soil testing, variable rate recommendations, a blend ticket and application, to our dispatch system to track our applicators and jobs to be done, to notifying you the minute the job is completed--all of this so you are able to plan your next field activity.

Grower360

The best feature of our system is its transparency. You will be able to access your Grower360 account to view your activities, your field information along with bookings and pre-pays. Access is open 24/7 when you want to look at any of your business transactions when it suits you. You can request access through this link.

Being good stewards of the land

One of the key features in the database is our ability to track when fields were last soil sampled. This will allow us to inform you which field(s) need to be sampled to keep them 4R Compliant with current soil tests (no older than four years).

This allows us to use current soil test information to make informed nutrient management decisions utilizing our Build, Maintain and Drawdown system of creating recommendations. When soils are deficient, we make recommendations to build up the soil. When tests are on target, we maintain with crop removal. And finally, when tests are very high, we make recommendations that are less than crop removal to drawdown those high tests without fear of losing yield.

The system is designed to assure your soils are neither deficient nor excessive in essential nutrients and to optimize nutrient utilization.

System integration

Our system can integrate with other platforms such as John Deere and FieldView and help support your information management on your farm. For example, we can easily export field boundaries we have on hand to help set up your FieldView account. FieldView needs boundaries to be operational. In return, you can share any planter maps or yield maps with us. We can import them into our system to further support the data collected and utilize the information in our agronomy programs to support your farming practices more effectively with your data input.

This process starts with making sure we have your farms, fields, boundaries and acres set up correctly in our systems to service you even better with digital tools we have developed and continue to evolve. Better service and knowledge allows us to keep earning the trusted advisor position
